Our Story

Thirtytwothirteen Designs was created June 1, 2020, during Covid-19. Design has always been something that resinated with me. But everyday life, family and career never allowed me the time or opportunity to invest in my passion.  Yet my love for decorating and styling spaces never wavered. During the time of social distancing I was able to spend time at home with my family, unplug and focus on things that are truly important to me. Quite honestly, I created this brand after DIY-ing things at home that I couldn’t find or was unwilling to wait to receive by mail during this time.

I decided to redo the out side of my home. I scoured through doormat options online at the big box stores and couldn’t find what I had in mind.  So I decided to make my own and personalize it. The doormat was perfect, exactly what I had in mind! Next I made a door reef, out door table and sectional for the deck I designed myself and there you have it. Thirthytwothirteen was created, in my home while the world was in mayhem. 

The name Thirtytwothirteen is very special and means a lot to me. Well initially it only stuck out because it was the street numbers of my Nana’s address and she’s a very special person in my life. When I was forced to figure out this about page, I began to truly understand what Thirtytwothirteen meant for me. I grew up with a  really unstable home life. From preschool to seventh grade my family moved just about every school year. I went to a new school and really never had a real connection to any of the places I lived. 

In eighth grade my family moved in with my Nana at 3213 Clifton St in a one bedroom apartment. I would go on to live there for the next four years, until I moved out on my own. We didn’t have much, but we had each other and always made the best of any situation. So for me Thirtytwothirteen gave me a sense of home for the first time. 

With this brand, that’s what I would like to give to you. A sense of home! Every piece we offer at Thirtytwothirteen are hand picked or custom made with the hope of giving you what Thirtytwothirteen gave me…. A SENSE OF HOME.
